Passaic is a city in Passaic County New Jersey located north of Newark on the Passaic River. It is situated just 10 miles from New York City and 12 miles from Newark Airport making Passaic prime real estate for residents that want more affordable housing, such as Carlton Tower, with an easy commute and plenty of transportation options.
Passaic has several business districts that are filled with shops, restaurants and businesses reflecting the city's Latino and Eastern European populations. The Passaic New Jersey Transit rail station is located in the Passaic Park area, providing service to the Hoboken Terminal, and to Secaucus Junction for New Jersey Transit connections to Pennsylvania Station in Midtown Manhattan and Newark Airport.
